Kids Foundation

On 1 December 2008 the KiDS Foundation held a meet-and-greet function for all KiDS scholars and their families at Wynberg Boys High School.

We welcomed 92 new scholars into the Foundation and had a wonderful time getting to know them and their families, introducing them to current KiDS scholars and firing them all up to give of their best in 2009! The function was attended by 300 people and after an encouraging talk by our chairman, Ian Kilbride, one of our KiDS Alumni, Nisa Camagu and one of our Grade 11 scholars, Buyelwa Xundu we all tucked into a great finger supper and set about getting to know one another.

We also celebrated the news that night that one of our KiDS Alumni, Boitumelo Nkgudi (KiDS graduate 2002), had just received his degree in Medicine from UCT. He was there that evening and a great inspiration to fellow KiDS Scholars!

Michelle is one of the KiDS Foundation’s top achievers. She was chosen to attend the Rainbow Camp at Pinelands High School where learners face tough challenges over three days learning about themselves and their potential.  Michelle wrote an excellent report about her experience and overcame her fear of public speaking when she had to present it.
